Welcome to AMC 2023! To kick off our event we invite those who will be present in Podgorica on the evening of our arrival day (October 19th) to bring something from your home country to present to your fellow attendees.
What to bring? Get creative, it can be something to share (baked goods, juices, stickers etc.), something unique to your culture (a traditional toy, puzzle, trinket) or even your business card. It's up to you, but we recommend something to start a conversation!

✨ Inclusion within Sports by Caleb Howards (He/him) from Mermaids (UK)
In this workshop, Caleb will explore inclusion within sport with a focus on trans inclusion in aquatic sporting disciplines specifically. We will see how to best promote the inclusion of everyone within sport and the particular challenges/barriers the individual may face personally due to restrictions placed in certain sports, and how to best overcome this with a person-centred approach on doing what is best for that particular individual.
Participants will learn about what the benefits of regular physical activity are, and the barriers that some people face when trying to engage with sports due to their identity. They will learn ways to challenge peoples opinions surrounding this topic to promote inclusion for all.
✨ Creating Safe Spaces and Community Building, Nat Michail (They/them, He/him), Colour Youth Athens (Greece)
In this interactive workshop, Nat will explore what a safe space is, how do we ensure it, and how creating safe spaces empowers us and helps us build communities, as well as ways on how to realise all of the above inside our NGOs. Participants will be invited to discuss their thoughts on the matter and will have the time to share their own experiences on those matters and exchange information about how other NGOs create safe spaces and build communities daily.
This workshop will go back to the basic need of our community: safe space and community building, it will give information about what tools activists can use to do both and finally allow them to share their experiences, exchange their knowledge and/or worries surrounding these themes with the other activists.
✨ Creating Proud Spaces: Exploring the Practices and Policies that Create Proud Spaces for Young People, by Gina Halpin (She/her) from Youth Work Ireland
In this workshop, Gina will share the findings from a current European Project - Proud Spaces - which seeks to evidence the practices, processes, theories, activities and policies that contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive space for young people. In the workshop we will explore possible policies initiative that can create change and inclusion at a European level.

🎥 If you do not intend to join the Podgorica Pride March on Saturday, we will organise a movie night in the hotel that you are free to join.

✨ Dragging Up The Past Documentary Screening by Konrad Im, Gay Project (Ireland)
This documentary highlights the colourful history of drag in Cork, Ireland, using interviews and archival footage. Filming for the "Dragging Up The Past" documentary began in January 2020, directed by CIT Creative Digital Media alumnus Robin Guiton and produced by CIT LGBT* Society with Gay Project.
The documentary features interviews with many of Cork’s beloved queens, Fabula Di Beaumarchais, Kitty Cartier, Twiggy Moondust, Candy Warhol, Letycha Le’Synn, Mia Gold, Nettles, Liam Bee, Dakota Mode, Will A.Blige, Alternative Miss Cork Director Eddie Kay, Irelands youngest drag queen Karma O’Hara, and also features information and footage about Cork’s own Danny La Rue.
