Addressing the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, and socio-economic background

Are you a queer young person with a working-class background and you're looking for a job? Have you ever wondered how to overcome the unique challenges you face when navigating the professional world?

On 26 October at 12:30-14:00 CET, our IGLYO webinar on "Queer Identity, Socio-Economic Background, and Employability" will aim to provide you with practical guidance and support, focusing on enhancing your employability skills and empowering you to overcome unique challenges in the job market. By addressing the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, and socio-economic background, this webinar will equip you with valuable insights and strategies to navigate employability.

Why is this webinar so crucial, you might ask? It will address the specific challenges encountered by queer youth from working-class backgrounds in their pursuit of employability. By acknowledging the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, and socio-economic status, it provides tailored guidance and resources to empower individuals facing compounded barriers.

Through sessions focused on building resilience, enhancing skills, and accessing resources on a budget, participants will gain practical tools to navigate their career paths with confidence. The webinar will not only offer valuable insights but it will also foster a sense of community through interactive activities and networking, encouraging ongoing engagement for long-term personal and professional growth.

Ultimately, this session will emerge as a crucial step in dismantling obstacles and promoting inclusivity in the employability journey of queer youth from working-class backgrounds.

You can register for the webinar through this registration form. After we approve your registration, you will receive a Zoom link to access the webinar on the day of the event.

This webinar is free and open to everyone above 18 years old, but mostly aimed at LGBTQIA+ young people between 18-30 years old. This webinar is organised by IGLYO — The International LGBTQI Youth & Student Organisation with the support of the Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values 2021-2027 Programme of the European Union.
