he/him
Arturo Mazzeo is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. He works as mental health referent and chemsex project manager at the EX Æquo association in Brussels, and he has been dealing with the topic of chemsex since 2018. Due to his work in the child's abuse field, and in the rehabilitation of drugs users, he chooses to use those experiences to focus on the struggles of the LGBTQIA+ community. The social discrimination, the rejection, and the lack of inclusive spaces in the social health field are just some of the elements that causes or worsen the psychological fragilities of the community members.
Other than his clinical works with patients, Arturo Mazzeo is actively involved in the training of mental health professionals based in Belgium in order to share his work and to build a better support for the LGBTQIA+ people, and in order to develop a better professional network with the goal to improve the health offer for the community members.
