About this Webinar

On 13 June 2024 at 12:30-14:00 CEST, our next IGLYO webinar will shed light on the multifaceted challenges faced by queer youth living with HIV/AIDS. It is organised in collaboration with the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG), a community-led NGO that advocates for the rights and interests of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and related co-infections within the WHO Europe region.

In a world where HIV/AIDS-related stigma persists, even within our communities, and access to healthcare and activism remains uneven, this webinar seeks to explore the intersectionality of identities within the LGBTQI community and how they intersect with experiences of stigma, discrimination, and access to healthcare and activism.

By focusing on the experiences of queer youth living with HIV, it confronts the intersecting layers of discrimination they face, from societal prejudice to systemic barriers within healthcare systems. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, this webinar aims to not only raise awareness but also inspire concrete action.

By amplifying diverse voices and embracing diversity, it strives to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for young queer individuals living with HIV, ultimately contributing to the broader movement towards equity and justice for all.

You can register for the webinar through this form. The zoom link will be sent to you upon approval from our team. For any questions, please reach out to our Programmes Officer Ali (They/them) at ali@iglyo.org.

This webinar is free and open to everyone who is 18 years old or above, but mostly aimed at LGBTQIA+ young people between 18-30 years old.

This webinar is organised by IGLYO — The International LGBTQI Youth & Student Organisation in collaboration with the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG), with the support of the Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values 2021-2027 Programme of the European Union.
