About this Webinar
On 13 November at 12:30-14:00 CET, our IGLYO webinar will focus on the realities of asexual and aromantic identities within the LGBTQI community. While asexual and aromantic individuals are integral to the LGBTQI spectrum, they often face underrepresentation and misunderstanding, leading to gaps in knowledge and advocacy. This webinar aims to address these issues by equipping LGBTQI activists with the necessary tools to better understand and advocate for asexual and aromantic voices.
Through a diverse panel of international experts and activists, we will explore the everyday challenges faced by asexual and aromantic individuals, including common misconceptions and barriers to inclusion. Our speakers will share their expertise and lived experiences, providing valuable insights into how LGBTQI organisations can enhance their advocacy efforts and create more inclusive spaces. By fostering a deeper understanding of asexuality and aromanticism, we aim to empower participants to challenge stigma and promote equity within the broader LGBTQI movement.
You can register for the webinar on this page. The Zoom link will be sent to you upon approval from our team. For any questions, please reach out to our Programmes Officer Ali (they/them) at ali@iglyo.org.
This webinar is free and open to everyone who is 18 years old or above, but primarily aimed at LGBTQIA+ young people between 18-30 years old.
